Archives The Jewish Historical Society remains directly affiliated with the American Jewish Historical Society, which was first organized in 1892 with a common goal to preserve written, oral, and photographic records. Our present affiliation is with many other state’s historical societies as we maintain a most impressive archival repository of manuscripts, documents and photographs depicting Jewish life in Southern California.
